3 REASONS TO USE THE SPLITTER
The SPLITTER may be a tiny little part, but it packs a punch in both convenience and ease of use. In this blog, we explain three reasons why the SPLITTER is the perfect accessory to use when creating an in-lite yard.
Reason 1: Single light sensor for several transformers
If you have a large front or backyard and are using several transformers, you will need several light sensors. The SPLITTER makes it possible to use only one light sensor for all transformers. This way, you can be 100% sure that the lighting switches on simultaneously and do not need to install more than one light sensor. How do you use it? Connect the light sensor to the single connection on the SPLITTER and attach the cables for the two transformers (where the light sensor is normally connected directly) to the two connections on the other side of the SPLITTER. You can connect two transformers to a single SPLITTER. If necessary, you can also combine several SPLITTERS. Keep in mind that you can attach no more than 5 transformers to a single light sensor
Tip: Is the light sensor cord too short? Extend it with an extension cord (available in 1, 2 and 3-meter lengths). You can extend the cord by up to 3 meters and use as few extension cords as possible.
Reason 2: Fewer cables in the yard
If you have two lights close to each other that both require an extension cord, the SPLITTER is the perfect solution. Instead of using two extension cords with two separate Easy-Locks, you can use one Easy-Lock and one extension cord. Connect the extension cord (up to 3 meters) to the Easy-Lock and then attach the SPLITTER. Connect both lights to the SPLITTER. This lets you create a clean cable plan and have fewer cables to hide in the yard. A maximum of two lights with a maximum of 10 VA (see the packaging for the light or specifications on the website) can be connected to the SPLITTER. In addition, you can only use one SPLITTER for every Easy-Lock.
Reason 3: Lighting can be expanded easily
Are you thrilled about your in-lite yard and want to expand the lighting? This can be done at any time. If the main cable is difficult to reach, the new light together with the SPLITTER can be easily connected to the Easy-Lock for the existing light. Remove the mini-connector from the Easy-Lock on the existing light. Place the SPLITTER on the Easy-Lock and connect both the new and existing light to it. This way, you can connect two lights to a single Easy-Lock. Again, a maximum of two lights with a maximum of 10 VA (see the packaging for the light or the specifications on the website) can be connected to a single SPLITTER and only one SPLITTER can be used for each Easy-Lock
